As snow flakes fall on a late winter's day we can't help but to look forward to another season of fun here at Shady Acres. We are now just weeks away from the 2014 Camping Season and promise this summer will be better than ever in our quiet little corner of New England paradise.
Although the campground sits empty we are hard at work getting ready for April 15th, 2014! We are very pleased and blessed to have Bill and Diane back for another season of dance lessons, karaoke, BINGO, and much more. It's safe to say Bill and Diane are the cornerstone of our activity schedule and we hope you enjoy having them as much as we do. We are in the process of completing that activity schedule for the summer and, quite frankly, we believe this season's schedule to be the fullest in Shady Acre history. All we can say is that you and your family are going to have a ton of fun this season. You can look forward to seeing April's events within a few weeks. As always, our activity schedule is an evolving process. We would love to hear great ideas, bad ideas, and everything in between!
If you haven't already heard, on Saturday, March 8th we will open our doors for anyone who is interested in camping with us this season but has never seen our park. During the Open House guests will be able to tour the campground, see our Rec Hall, and join us in the office for campground treats. You will also be able to talk with us about future reservations and camping at Shady Acres. The open house is intended for those who have never been to the campground before, however current seasonal guest, or those who have already camped with us, are absolutely welcome to attend. Bring a friend we're going to have a blast!
You may have notice things look a little different around Shady Acres Camping .com. When designing the new website, we wanted a page that gave you as much content without sacrificing simplicity. We believe, and hope, you are able to find a little more information a lot easier. In the coming weeks even more campground related content will be added, so please stay tuned!
We will be welcoming several work campers to help us keep your campground great this summer. More about them will be posted soon. In addition to our work campers, we will have two new VIPS (very important pups) joining us for the season. Maggie and Lily, gentle giants adopted in Colorado by Scott and Susan, will be reporting for duty and making the Shady Acres rounds all summer long. We are sad to say Abby, our camp store dog, passed away this winter and is already tremendously missed.
So as winter lazily makes it way out of New England, we hope you are getting ready for another great season of camping at Shady Acres. Hang in there, we'll be sitting by the campfire in no time!
